This will have an emphasis on salads and quick, lighter dishes for those who do not wish to have a full 2 or 3 course meal. This will always have something for vegetarians and non vegetarians alike. For examples view here. The Dysart Arms has recently undergone a complete interior refurbishment, bringing back to life as many of the original Arts and Crafts elements of the building as possible to set a stylish, comfortable and lively atmosphere. The extensive re-landscaping of the garden this Spring is settling in well, creating individual dining areas, and is already proving popular with our customers. In the fine weather there is full table service for meals and drinks in the garden. Our menus change daily, freshly cooked to order by our Head Chef, Andrew Doherty, and his team, emphasising freshness, the seasons, well balanced flavours, ethical sourcing and country values. Andrew crafts his menu with skills developed under Rowley Leigh at Kensington Place and at Launceston Place. A set menu is now availible for lunch and dinner during the week, except for friday evenings. A new light, Summer daytime menu is also being introduced on weekdays. Traditional roast lunches are added to the menu on Sunday, served both in the downstairs restaurant and in the upstairs dining rooms or in the garden weather permitting. For our Daily menus, please view here. Today we will be serving lunch from 12pm until 4pm and then will have a light menu available from 4pm We have also introduced the opportunity for you to discuss and create your own menu with our Head Chef. We have set out some ideas, but the only limitation to your imagination is whether we are happy with the quality of the ingredients we can source for you at the time and the richness of the Season. Please view here - Bespoke Menu We hold regular wine dinners - the next will be held on Wednesday 23rd June featuring Catalan wines from producers Els Pyreneus. Good music is a special feature at The Dysart Arms, with a programme designed to represent the diversity and quality of the British music scene at the moment. We have a beautiful 1897 Bechstein Grand Piano, as well as an unusual sound system with Valve Amplification and electrostatic speakers. Thus, even when there is no live music, the quality of sound is superb. Our live jazz events every Thursday are proving to be a very exciting success, with many of the finest British and International talents gracing our stage. Performers such as MOBO nominee Byron Wallen and BBC Jazz winners Alan Barnes and Simon Spillett are regular fixtures. We are also working hard to locate the finest young talent from in and around London, with excellent results. The Saturday night Classical evenings are flourishing, with an ever-broadening range of performers, who all agree it is a refreshing change to perform away from the concert hall in intimate surroundings, with an excellent acoustic and in a very close rapport with the audience. A wide range of instruments and repertoire is explored, including piano, classical guitar, Renaissance and Baroque lute, classical harmonica, cello and harp. On Thursday evenings we always present a solo jazz pianist. Performers include some of the Nation's finest talents, including "top of the crop" youngsters such as Barry Green and WIll Butterworth, as well as more established stars like Jonathan Gee and Ceri Evans (MOBO Jazz Award Winner 1997). Our Friday evening music offers either jazz or classical music. We are also now presenting a series of Sunday evening classical and jazz recitals, taking place on the first and third Sundays of every month respectively - please follow this link for more details - Music For more information on performances or performing, please call Barny on 07967 481 625 The Dysart Arms is on the 371 and 65 bus routes and has a large car park to the front and the rear.
